Living in a vibrant city like London, I’m not afraid of a bold summer print or two. Palms, Polkas, Stripes, you name it… they really spice up a cute summer outfit and add some extra colours into some otherwise plain looks. And I have to say, I’m loving some of the pieces in the high street at the moment. WAREHOUSE* in particular has been nailing the print sitch, especially with their culotte jumpsuit range. The prints are so fabulous and very much necessary for some serious summer vibes.
In this post I’m gonna talk you through some of my must have summer prints.
Polka dots are an essential and timeless print option. They also happen to be easy peasy to incorporate into your wardrobe. I’m becoming obsessed with this WAREHOUSE* polka jumpsuit. It is sooooo flattering. The big bow up top draws the eyes to the neckline making it a great evening option too. It’s very well fitted and a nice long length for you taller girls out there (I had to whack on some heels). The colour is a classic navy which would look dreamy with scarlet shoes and accessories.
These vintage polka trousers from PEEKABOO VINTAGE are proof that these cheeky dots are not going out of style any time fast! They are by far the easiest low key print to match up with other pieces. I’m really feeling the 80’s vibes in these sheer wide leg trousers. I picked these up from the TOPSHOP concession in their Oxford Street store.
Ahhhhh botanicals!! Where do I start? Firstly they scream summer, well more like gently whisper it in your ear!!. They instantly give you chilled vibes by making you think of tall palms and holidays. I’m dying to wear this WAREHOUSE* palm tree print jumpsuit on a beach somewhere tropical but for now cute London locations will have to do!
I love the green/khaki tones mixed with the black. They’re such easy shades to match and it’s a bonus that it happens to be such a comfy style!!
If you want an even bolder version this tropical print jumpsuit from SILK FRED fits the bill. The colours are so fabulous and eye catching!! I think it would bring out the tan a treat.
Some people might get full on deck chair vibes checking out a bold stripe like this, but I can’t get enough of them. The yellow is stunning for summer and is definitely a happy colour. This TOPSHOP skirt is still featuring heavily in my OOTD’s. It’s just the right length for alfresco dining and the asymmetric hem line is perfect for sashaying as you walk.
The bold eye catching stripes really enhance the summery look and you know how much I adore the vertical variety (being a bit teeny tiny).
Below I’m gonna link some fave bold prints in the shops right now for you to feast your summery eyes on!
Happy weekend lovely people,
