Jumpsuit Photos by @olgakimphotography
You may have noticed that I’ve been crushing on F&F Clothing recently and wearing pieces of theirs. The truth is, I’ve been incorporating their clothes into my OOTD’s since working in Tescos over 8 years ago!! It’s hard to resist eye catching pieces whilst you’re walking through the store to get to the canteen and over the years I have built up quite the little collection!
Now, I understand there can be a bit of snobbery around Supermarket clothes, but I find they offer a very affordable way to mix your wardrobe up frequently for a very reasonable cost. I have found the quality to be comparatively good too!!
Fast forward 8 years and I am absolutely in love with their S/S18 collection. What I really love about some of these pieces is that they are looking very Zara-esque (and you know how I feel about Zara). I’ve styled 3 of my fave pieces that are available now and linked some more of my faves along with them below.
THE ORANGE STRIPED JUMPSUIT
I’m kicking things off with this orange, black and white eye catching striped jumpsuit. Stripes are always a big deal in spring… and I still can’t get enough of them. As I’ve mentioned before, the vertical variety are always super flattering. I can definitely envisage myself wearing it in warmer climes, with a pina colada in my paw, but until them I’m sticking with some layers.
Here I actually used a thermal top 🙈 to keep Mr Frosty at bay.
You may have seen from my Colour Blog that I tend to stick to no more than 4 colours in any one outfit. I added tan as the fourth colour to compliment the orange accents and make the jumpsuit pop.
Using black as the base tones down the gorgeous (but very bright) stripes making for a chic city look. I added a leather biker to make things a little more edgy and London appropriate.
You can get definitely get away with these fabulous bright colours on a snazzy beach somewhere or out for cocktails on holiday.
My next pick are these fabulous red jeans with zip fastenings at the ankle. As you have probably realised, I am a massive believer in huge splashes of colour within my wardrobe.
These red jeans just fit the bill perfectly. They can be paired with pink for a dramatic look or navy/black for a more classic approach if you want to let the jeans do all the talking. Being the colour queen that I am I opted for pink with black accessories.
They’re nice and stretchy and so comfortable to wear. The hight waist is flattering too for days when you want to wear a shorter jumper or cropped top!
LACE BARDOT TOP
Lastly, I am obsessed with this off the shoulder top. F&F are really nailing cute summer style with this one. I’ve noticed it comes in yellow too so I might even have to purchase one in every colour!!
Its so cute paired with jeans for a lovely daytime lunch outfit. I opted for ripped jeans from a couple years back but skinny jeans would look just as gorgeous. The sandals added a touch of jazz and can be found here.
The beauty with white is that you’re not restricted in terms of colour matching. It also looks gorgeous with a tan!!! (when the Sun finally decides to pop its head out). It has a lovely scalloped hem but because my jeans were baggy I went for a tucked in approach to add a little definition to my waist. I also incorporated a belt to accentuate the sillouette a bit further.
So, it seems F&F clothing have affordable supermarket togs dialled down. It’s not hard to get distracted by the clothing section whilst making your way round your mundane weekly shop. It’s an extra excuse to go in for the milk if anything!!!
Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!
N.B Some of the gorgeous pieces in this blog post have been gifted by the lovely F&F team, but all views are firmly my own
