Being the pint sized girl that I am (I’ve never understood that term by the way – but I’m assuming it’s comparing me to the height of a pint glass) but anyway, I’m getting sidetracked, the point is: I love heels.
That being said, heels can be you know a bit, how do you say?…. crippling!!
Navigating your way around a big city like London with a 6ft2 giant and trying to look chic in flats can be a challenge.
That is why I’m loving these new Stella McCartney-esque platform lace-ups. They add a smidge of lift whilst keeping my heels firmly on the ground.
I love how this GEOX set can be incorporated into a look to create an edgy style. The metallic distressed finish certainly lifts up any outfit. I love the bright silver heel too, who doesn’t love a bit of shine??. Best of all, they’re so easy to match due to the neutral tones. I’ve paired them with denim, grey and black with ease.
They look cute with a dress and skirts as well. I opted for a polka dot playsuit for a recent coffee date at Peggy Porschen cakes with the beautiful @pepperpaperstyle. I had to use black tights with this polka dot dress due to the mild (polite for freezing) London temperatures. But as soon as Spring is sprung I will be opting for no tights or natural coloured ones.
I also wore them to a brunch date with my fave PVC leggings. If you haven’t already, check out other ways to style these babies here.
I’m off to Paris for the weekend so I’m hoping I will get some use out of these once the sun comes out!!
A word of caution. These shoes needed breaking in, I would not for a second risk a tightless/sockless day out, you will suffer the consequences/blisters. Having said that, they are a dream with tights cushioning your heel.
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
