Recently I’ve been trying to transition my wardrobe into Spring and in turn wanting to up the vibrancy of my outfits. However, this is so tricky when the weather is still distinctly wintery.
This is why I love pastel tones and particularly shades of blue like this, they’re so fresh and springlike. They’re easy to match but also elevate the look of an outfit instantly.
The classic double breasted style and large lapels on this coat make it really flattering so it suits all body types. I’m quite short (5ft4) making the hemline sit at calf level, for you taller beauties out there it will still rest below the knee making for a chic silhouette.
This coat is made from a lovely wool blend making it gorgeous to the touch, so soft and cosy. This shade of blue matches perfectly with light wash denim for an elegant colour block look, but it works equally well with black or white.
Here I styled it for a lunch look with the girls. I wore sock boots from DSW in the States but I’ve seen a similar pair in ZARA recently (linked below). The polka dot playsuit/dress is also ZARA. I love the way the ruffled sleeves are just showing under the cuffs of the coat.
On the accessory front I added a cornflower blue crossbody from MICHAEL KORS 2016 which happens to match like a dream. White and black or even nude bags would also compliment this coat nicely.
I hope everyone is treated to some spring-like temps very soon.
Happy Sunday everyone!
