Stripey Skirts

Stripes are an easy way to make a statement, and boy are they in favour at the moment. They’re cropping up on bags, jeans and my particular favourite – on skirts.

I’m especially in love with the monochrome variety. Black and White stripes are so versatile and easy to pair with other prints and fabrics. For a miniature sized girl like me, vertical stripes are always better to elongate the frame. Thats why I fell in love with this MANGO skirt as soon as I clapped eyes on it.

The midi length is so feminine and the asymmetric cut gives it an edgy vibe, making it a gorgeous item that ticks several boxes at once.

I adore how monochrome pieces look next to bright accessories. Here for my day out in the town I chose some magenta STEVE MADDEN heels and a magenta DVF cross body bag. I think the look would work really well with bright yellow heels in the spring too, but honestly, you could pair just about any colour with this black and white ensemble and I think it would work well.

I added the leather jacket to play on the edgy cut of the skirt (unfortunately I needed an oversized coat layered on top to avoid frostbite – courtesy of this UK weather). I’m hoping it wont be too long before I can ditch the big chunky outerwear.

The skirt would be a perfect way to dress from day to night in those spring days too. It would look gorgeous with some killer ankle boots and a crop top when the weather picks up.

I have a feeling I will be wearing this beauty again and again.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
