Santa Claus is coming to town and Winter is upon us, which means more festive colours making their way into my looks. At the moment I am loving winter whites and festive reds. You may have seen these popping up in my outfits in recent posts already, but it’s about to go supercharged and I thought these boots were a good place to start.
I reckon a great way to add a splash of colour into an outfit is with some fabulous boots. Don’t get me wrong, there is a place in every wardrobe for black boots. Ankle, knee high, slouchy; take your pick! They’re all so wearable in black and I would be lost without mine. However, sometimes I feel the need to crank things up a notch in the footwear stakes and wear something that stands out a touch more.
Red is also amazing for this… I even shared some of my favourite ways on ‘How to Style: Red Boots’ earlier in the year. If you missed it, take a peek here. The only trouble is, most of the red options in the high street this season were suede, and suede doesn’t really get on with rain/snow/mud/coffee/life so much. For this reason I tend to shy away from wearing mine in certain situations (like, you know, when I don’t want to be on constant shoe guard).
That is the main reason I was attracted to a white leather option (that and a couple of fabulous bloggers on insta making me drool over them….. erm @miamiamine I blame you for this). These particular white boots happen to be made of the softest leather and are wearable even when the weather takes a (likely) British turn for the worst.
In this layered look I stuck to monochrome tones and a knitted white ZARA cardigan to tie in with the white boots. The black coat is old ZARA but I’ve linked some similar options below. I think the boots sit well with grey tones or light denim too.
If you live in a warm enough climate the white would look lovely against tanned pins. I personally can’t wait until spring as I have a feeling they would look mega cute with a short dress and biker jacket too!
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!
